From the 27th of March to the 7th of March 2017, in the RDS of Dublin, the annual Feis Ceoil Music Festival was hosted. This year was their 121st festival. It is one of Ireland's longest running and most loved classical music festival. With more than
5,000 talented competitors and 200 competitions, it is a truly great platform for the developement of Ireland's most talented young musicians.
This year, 5 students of Naas Music School have competed in the Feis Ceoil.
- The highest achiever is Ruben Moore in the competition 8.07 Junior Violin (E) under 9 years of age. Ruben, was very highly commended with 90 points. Ruben joined Naas Music School in September at the age of 8 years and in 7 months he achieved so much.
Isabelle Purcell competed in the competition 8.06 Junior Violin (D) Under 11 and was commended with 84 points.
Aoibhe Kettle competed in the competition 8.05 Junior Violin (C) Under 13 and was commended with 84 points and Ben McGrath got 80 points in the same competition.
Luke Angelo Moriles competed in the competition 12.10 Junior Pianoforte Solo (D) and was highly commended with 92 points. Angelo is finishing hus second year as a Piano student with Naas Music School.
Hannah Heveran competed in competition 7.09 Bach Prize (Cello or Viola). Hannah was playing the Solo Suite No. 2 by Johann Sebastian Bach on Viola. She received 80 points.
